Lake District

The Lake District is an area Cumbria in northwest England. It's popular with holidaymakers and is known for its lakes, mountains and historic literary associations. Towns such as Kendal, Ambleside and Keswick are bases for exploring the area. Funnily enough only Windermere is actually called a lake. All the others are Waters or Meres
